Greyhound Foundations Class

Introduction to teaching your hound skills

In our exclusive “greyhound only” class you’ll learn how to build a stronger bond with your hound and tips and tricks of living with these magnificent creatures.

Greyhounds come with a unique set of challenges when starting training so it’s important to learn from someone who knows.

Nose at the Ready!

Introduction to scent games

Does your dog love to sniff? Dogs gain a lot of information from sniffing and find the activity very exciting and fun! And using their nose to hunt is a natural instinct that allows your dog to be a dog!

Our Nose at the Ready Class is an introduction to scent games. Our class is suitable for any dog of any age and personality. Each dog and human work one on one, without any distraction from other dogs, which means even if your dog is nervous or reactive they can join in the fun. In fact, these kinds of activities are a great way to build confidence.

Dogs with physical limitations (arthritis, tri-paw, back pain) can also join in. Our Nose at the Ready Class is low impact and has short runs so even those dogs who can’t be on their feet for long will enjoy the class.

The other benefit to scent games is the mental enrichment and calming affect it will have on your dog. A short sniffing session can tire them out more than a walk! And it’s so easy to do in your home.

Best of all, our Nose at the Ready Class will build a wonderful bond between you and your dog as you learn how to work as a team.
