Greyhound training

Greyhounds are amazing creatures and we’ve been immersed in the pet greyhound world for over 10 years.

We adopted our first hound Kyle way back in 2009. From there we started fostering and then training our second hound Special who was dog reactive. Special opened the door to dog training and greyhounds are our specialty!

Our experience with greyhounds as pets both as a foster carer and dog trainer makes us the place to go to help your greyhound transition to pet life.

We offer greyhound only group training classes.

Group classes

Short Courses

Greyhounds are usually more comfortable around other greyhounds so we have developed classes just for greyhounds.

Our classes are a safe place for greyhounds to learn new skills and gain confidence.

One on one training

Training in your home or via video

If you can’t make it to class or have a hound that needs more help in their home environment then we offer one on one training in your home or via video call. You no longer need to be in Brisbane to get the help you need.

We can tailor training to your needs that suit your hound and their day to day living.

We can help with:

  • pulling on lead

  • leash reactivity

  • stop counter surfing

  • general anxiety

  • freezing on walks

  • not listening

Welcome home pack

Have you recently adopted?

If you have just adopted your hound or are preparing to adopt and want to make sure you have all the knowledge needed to help them settle we a Welcome home program designed to help you settle your new hound into their home.

We will provide you with all the information you need to ensure the transition into your home is smooth and as stress free as possible.

We cover:

  • where they came from and why it’s important to know

  • greyhound behaviour

  • why routine helps

  • nutrition

  • enrichment

  • confidence building

  • appropriate collar/harness options

  • place training

  • toilet training

  • basic home manners

The welcome home pack includes 3 x one hour in home lesson to ensure the information provided is specific to your home.
